I stole the idea from OnceUponaTime.

Is your first Glinda your favorite?
My first Glinda was Laura Bell Bundy. I thought she was absolute perfection at the time, but after having seen some other Glindas, I now rank Laura #4 out of 8. I still think she was excellent overall. My two favorites are Kristin and Katie.

My first Glinda was Kendra Kassebaum and absolutely loved her acting and comdedic timing. She is my favorite acting wise but singing wise I like my 3rd Glinda which was Emily Rozek.

My first Glinda was the original Broadway understudy, Melissa Bell Chait, in November 2003. I thought she was amazing when I saw her, and I still think she was amazing. She was very Cheno-esque, but still her own. Overall, I rank her tied for 4th, behind Kristin Chenoweth, Jennifer Laura Thompson, and Katie Adams. That said, at my first performance I was in awe of the whole of the production, so I don't know how entirely accurate my remembrances are of her, but still, I thought she was amazing.
I don't consider her my favorite Glinda, but thoroughly enjoyed her performance, she has a special spot in my heart, and I will always remember her fondly.

My first Galinda was Kendra and I knew little of the show. I knew Popular and Defying Gravity and all of the histrionic songs but when I heard her voice, it was a little disarming. He voice was huskier and rich than Kristin's. Now I know some people aren't going to agree but I thought she was great! * Galinda's later, I rank her 4. She's great but Miss Katie Rose Clarke is pure delight onstage!

I'm going to say the same thing basically I did for my Elphaba.
My first Glinda was Annaleigh Ashford, who I thought was absolutely wonderful. I loved her. But then I saw the amazingness of Miss Katie Rose Clarke. WOW. That's all I can say. Annaleigh will always hold a special place in my heart, but is she my absolute favorite? No. Is she one of my favorites, absolutely!

My first (and second) Glinda was Jennifer Laura Thompson..she is my favorite Glinda and probably always will be. However, my dear Alli Mauzey holds a steady second place lol..

My first was Helen Dallimore and she's not my favourite, that place goes to my second Glinda, Annalene Beechey. I'm not sure exactly where I'd rank Helen, vocally she wasn't the best especially on the high notes but her acting & characterisation were excellent. I definitely didn't appreciate her portrayl enough till after she'd left. She will always be special to me for being my first Glinda (unlike my first Elphaba whom I feel no affection for whatsoever). This is probably because I was able to see Helen 22 times so had time to get attached to her Glinda. It was lovely seeing her onstage again earlier this month (even if the new musical she was in was atrocious!).

Yes and no. Dianne Pilkington was my first Glinda, and she's also by far my most-seen Glinda (I've seen her 9 times; my other Glindas I've seen 3 times or less). So not only did I initially love her portrayal, but then seeing her so many times really solidified my feelings for her (even though those 9 times were spread over almost 2 years, with many other Glindas interspersed).
However, I absolutely fell in love with Kendra Kassebaum when I saw her (my fifth Glinda). All of her little mannerisms especially added to the character, and I went back the next night because I could not pass up the opportunity of seeing her one more time.
Dianne and Kendra have different approaches on Glinda, and I can't really criticize either of them. I feel like I have a stronger connection to Dianne, as I used her as my "benchmark Glinda" for so long, but acting-wise Kendra actually has her beat slightly. Not through any fault of Dianne's, but Kendra just blew me away, above and beyond my expectations.
Vocally, though, I would probably rank Emily Rozek at the top (my fourth).

My first Glinda was Kate Reinders and while I guess I like her and think she has a beautiful voice, she's at the bottom of my list (which is really short - only 3 people total). There were just some things that really bugged me, and they've already been named a million times by a lot of people.

Yes. But I've seen Dianne 16 times compared to the four times I've seen Sarah. Dianne's like my security blanket now, I've never ever felt let down by her in a show where I have by almost every Elphaba I've seen...

Yes. Sarah Earnsahw is by far my favorite. I love Dianne but she can get a bit annoying after a while, however I can't deny that she's brilliant. Earnie was just perfection for me.

Helen Dallimore was my first and remains, in my opinion, the almost perfect Glinda. Far and away my favourite.

My favorite Glinda is not the first one I saw, but is from the first time I saw Wicked with enough knowledge of the show to actually note who the performers were (same goes for Elphaba). I'm not sure if that made sense, let me try again...
First I saw Eden and Kate Reinders on Broadway, but I knew nothing about the show or casting, so all of my attention went to the plot versus individual acting choices. Then I saw the show on tour 3 times and, even though I always saw Victoria and Christina, I never really bothered to notice if it was the same cast. However, when I was headed back to Broadway to see the show, I actually bothered to look ahead of time to see who was playing Elphaba and Glinda. At the time, I didn't really know who Stephanie Block and Annaleigh Ashford were, but I was able to find some stuff about both of them (their resumes, Stephanie from the Wicked proshot, Annaleigh from the Legally Blonde MTV performance), and so I arrived at the show with some specific expectations of the performers.
So although I think Stephanie and Annaleigh have talent that makes them worthy of being my favorites regardless, I'm sure I have some amount of bias towards them for being the first ones I really saw and paid attention to.

Haha, those are the three sets of actresses that I saw (although I can see that you saw more than just them, but I still thought that was kind of amusing).

Kate Reinders was my first Glinda, and even though she was great I still prefer Kendra Kassebaum and Helene Yorke.

Megan Hilty was my first Glinda, and she's still my favorite. I'd have to say that although Emily Rozek has a slight edge vocally and Kendra is a bit more charismatic, Megan really is the "perfect package" when it comes to Glinda.

My first Glinda was Kendra who I saw twice and loved, but then when Wicked L.A. arrived I was introduced to the fabulous Megan Hilty. She became my favorite by a long shot until recently when I saw the equally fabulous Katie Rose Clark who is the only one that has or will come close to ever being at the top of my list. Megan is #1 with me.

Nope. My first was Stacie Morgain Lewis. I hardly remember anything about the show. :0
My absolute favorite is Katie Rose Clarke. I've seen her three times. I've also seen Kendra Kassebaum.
Maybe to me the one I've seen the most is my favorite.

Laura Woyasz was my first Glinda, and even though I love her, Megan is my favorite for sure. Kendra is the only other Glinda I've seen that comes close to Megan for me, KRC was good but I seriously don't get all the hype about her.

Ditto, except I only saw Kendra once (first time). I remember going to the Pantages the first time, looking at the Playbill and wondering who this Megan person was and being disappointed it wasn't Kendra. Took about 1 minute into the show to forget my disappointment. I wish I could morph Megan and Katie together just for Popular - it would be the funniest Popular ever. Keeping my fingers crossed Megan or Katie end up in San Francisco or on Broadway.

My first was Katie Rose Clarke, and she was a tad congested thus kind of dampering the performance. She was still good, just not up to par with the other two I saw, Meggie Cansler & Helene Yorke, who tie for first in my book. I'm sure if I saw Katie Rose Clarke when she wasn't sick I'd like her more.

Yes. I have only seen two Glindas- Lucy Durack and her standby, Erin Hasan, (Lucy 4 times, Erin once) and when I saw Erin I was so excited! She was amazing and didn't let me down, but Lucy just IS Glinda, for me anyway. Erin sung the role with a lot more ease but Lucy is Glinda.

Ditto. ;) Couldn't have put it better. When I finally got to see her Erin was a lot better than I expected (probably since she'd performed 7ish shows the week prior), but Lucy is Glinda for me.
I wouldn't say that it's because she was my first. I wasn't thrilled the first couple of time I saw her - I came out raving about Amanda/Patrice - but she just got better and better every time...my last couple of reviews all I could say about her was how great I thought she was. Especially after those last two Melbourne shows. Amazing.

My first Glinda is utterly my favourite. I first saw Helen Dallimore and really enjoyed that she played the role seriously and realised that Glinda wasn't about belly laughs.
Lucy Durack is my most seen Glinda. I like her a lot, very professional and a great actress but I don't like the American style Glinda. I don't see Glinda that way as she's too gaudy.
