Which Glinda actress do you think best resembles Billie Burke's Glinda from the 1939 film. I would have to go with Kendra Kassebaum. What are your thoughts on this?
ForGood
None of them jump out, but I guess Kristin.

I would have to say either Kendra Kassebaum or Katie Rose Clarke because they show every emotion and you can see the transformation of their character from start to finish.
Man in Chair
Definitely in the workshop and the out-of-town tryouts, Kristin's performance was very clearly an homage to Burke. Since then though, it hasn't really been done.
Yeroismyhero
None really stand out to me. Glindas in WICKED are really hyper and bouncy.
Its_Glinda_Now
I agree with yeroismyhero, none of the Glindas I've seen have reminded me of Billie Burke.

I do think of Kendra, mostly because she has that regal air to her the whole time, even when she's being silly and goofy as a young college student. Her speaking voice is also a little reminiscent.
Kerri L. K.
Jennifer Laura Thompson, I'd have to say.

Certain aspects of Kristin Chenoweth and Kendra Kassebaum's Glindas remind me of Billie Burke, too.

I do agree that Kristin was very "Burke-esque" during the time of the workshops...and of the curent Glinda actresses, Kendra seems to have the voice down pat lol
Robert Upland
I'm gonna go with Kendra's voice and Kristin's early acting .

No one at all really. Though I suppose Kristin would come closest.
saintaelphaba
I'd have to say Kristin but even then not really. Would be interesting to see a Burke inspired Glinda though. I love the Burke head tilts.

Jennifer Laura Thompson, Annalene Beechey, Kristin Chenoweth.
Wickedly*Defying*Gravity
JLT and Kendra deff. Voice, look, and acting wise
PinknPopular
I think JLT had the right look and if they kept the Strawberry blonde wig, she would have looked the part more.
