Ok so this thread came from something I posted as an example but it got me thinking:
How AWESOME would it really be if Julie Andrews joined the cast of Wicked as Morrible!
Not gonna lie I would go see the show way more than I would care to admit if that came true!
Any thoughts?

Oh, I might be forced to fly where ever that show was playing as well.
Well, if Wicked was written in the '60s she would have made a pretty good Glinda too, IMO.

There are so many "Classic" actors that I would love to see in this show as well as people in other shows that I would love to see in Wicked!
Some People I know that are in Phantom for example.

I'd pay to watch Julie Andrews read the phone book, but this would be infinitely more fun.

Julie is a legend. If she ever came to "Wicked" to play Morrible, I would take somebody down to score a ticket lol

I can't really see her as a Morrible...I'd love to hear her sing the Glinda material though. Meryl Streep as Morrible would rock.

It is funny that you posted this. My cousin posted a compilation video of Judy Garland with her singing Danny Boy. It was so beautiful....and sad. But what if a young Judy Garland could come back and play Elphaba. Oh my:)

I remember thinking six years ago that I'd love to see Angela Lansbury as Morrible. Carole Shelley's portrayal reminded me of her.

Julie can't sing operatic things anymore though =[ which really really sucks!

I'd rather see Angela Lansbury play Morrible before Julie Andrews. I've never been a huge fan of Julie's work, to be completely honest. Now Angela Lansbury, she's brilliant. Her Mrs. Lovett is simply definitive.

Julie Andrews is a legend! I would pay to see her in anything. Maybe with that surgery she was going to have, she can sing again.

I'm sure you can't.
She was an amazing in Into The Woods as the witch! I can totally see it.
I mean come on if Rue can do it Bernadette can blast it out of the park.

The surgery destroyed her voice.

^^^ They were going to do another surgery.

She hasn't had the surgery yet. Assuming it is successful, she still won't sound like she used to because she's older now, but at least she will finally sing again.

If this were to happen I'd beg my parents to buy tickets to NYC so I can see her live.
