Hello Everyone!

My name is Cortney, I currently live in Seven Lakes, NC. I grew up in Hilliard, OH and I went to High School with Jessica Grove who was Dorothy on Broadway in Wizard of Oz back in the 90's Thats the only interesting thing I can think of.

One interesting fact about me might be when I was a child the first time I saw Wizard of Oz, when the wicked witch came out in Munchkinland and I took off screaming out of the room and never came back! It took me many years before I could watch the movie all the way through and my 8 year old niece still teases me about that to this day!

I am pretty new to the world of Wicked. My mom has seen the show twice in England; once with Idina Menzel and the other with Kerry Ellis. I have seen the show once, on the 2nd tour in Greenville, SC on February 14th with Marcie Dodd and Helene Yorke. I am seeing the 2nd tour again in Durham and Charlotte 3 times between the two stops and seeing the 1st tour in Columbus, Ohio in August.

Hey Cortney, welcome to the site! I haven't seen Marcie or Helene myself, but people on the boards have certainly had wonderful things to say about them. And to have three more trips to see the show planned...let's say I'm quite jealous

Where at in NC? I see you are seeing the tour in Durham, Seven Lakes is 2 hours south of there.

Thanks for all the welcome's! Marcie and Helene were my first and I loved Helene as Galinda! She is just Glinda, how I put it. I am very anxious to see Natalie Daradich also, I have heard nothing but wonderful things about her too. Marcie is just totally and utterly amazing! I had chills down to my bones watching her on stage. She is just one of the sweetest people I have ever met in my life. She was kind enough to show my friend and I the green that was still hanging around.

Well I originally had 1 trip planned, Greenville was spontaneous after a snow/ice storm ruining the first trip to see it the first weekend, I was upset because I would've seen Carrie Manolakos there. Oh well the 2nd time, it still snowed but we got there in time. The 4/22 trip was spontaneous and I found Row B in the center section orchestra seating seats! I couldn't pass that one up! 5/4 was the first planned, I am going with 2 Wicked newbies. And Charlotte....it was either this or go to Carowinds (amusement park) and I picked Wicked and plus my aunt won't blame throwing her back out on a roller coaster! hahaha

Ditto to that!!!! I live in Greenville, so I suspect I am about 3 hours from where you are. I saw the Greenville show the day before you did. I too am a big Helene Yorke fan!!!....But you will LOVE Natalie!!! So glad to have you on board with us.

For the record, I live in Greensboro. Not sure how close that is in relation to Seven Lakes (to be honest I've never heard of it before, but the name sounds cool).

Greensboro is an hour north of here. We got up there to shop all the time, since there is nothing down here. Seven Lakes is about 20 minutes north of Pinehurst, hour north of Fayetteville.
