The Danish Elphaba reminds me a LOT of Marcie. Danish Glinda looks really old to be playing Glinda.

I don't like how they are both using the "Margaret Hamilton" style hats... its too dramatic and not Elphie like lol
degeorgetitanic
The Copenhagen one looks like it's taking a similar step to our original WICKED, while still making it their own. I like it, the hat though I agree is too big...the Helsinki production still looks too cheesy

That pic of Elphie and Glinda on the Helsinki page embodies the fantasies of many fan fic writers. wink.gif
DearOldShiz
LOVE LOVE the Danish costumes. I agree the hat isn't great. Not that it's too big, but it doesn't fit with the elaborate costumes they've produced. I have a feeling that will be changed, though. I can't see her running around on and backstage with that bulky hat on.
ForGood
The Danish Glinda does look much too old.

Dunno if this has been posted yet, but I found this video of the two Danish witches getting into costume/makeup for the above photoshoot and (presumably) talking about their characters:

Glinda looks better in the video than in the photos. I think the makeup is part of the problem, actually. Darkening her eyes as much as they do makes them look a bit sunken-in and a warmer, more vibrant blush would probably help with a more youthful look.

Eero Saarinen is The Wonderful Wizard of Oz for Helsinki

Anyone know how old Annette Heick is?

Edit: Turns out she's 38. Maybe those were just bad pictures, to make her look too old.

Ok so I read that for the Finnish production they said that the book and lyrics will remain, with some minor adjustments, does that mean that it is in English ?

I highly doubt it.

No, it means they'll try to remain as faithful as possible to the original English lyrics... and also alter some lines to work for the Finnish audience.

Yeah...I agree with Jess that the Copenhagen Glinda looks a bit on the older side, but I think Elphaba is beautiful!

Check out the Copenhagen website...they have some costume sketches...not gonna lie...they look fantastic. They are going with a steampunk inspiration that is similar to the original design of WICKED...yet completely different...I'm very excited

Those are amazing! My favorite has to be the picture in the bottom right corner, it almost looks like a Morrible costume.
