Hello everyone! My name is Jamie and I'm a brand new member to this board. I look forward to taking a look around to see what all it has to offer.
I live in the lower part of the state of Alabama. I work full-time as a nurse and also I have a little part-time job at my local Disney Store. So far I've seen Wicked three times. My very first time was in June 2008 in London (Alexia Khadime, Dianne Pilkington, Oliver Tompsett). Then I saw it in April 2009, in Birmingham, Alabama (Marci Dodd, Helene York, Colin Donnell). My most recent time was when the 1st National Tour came to New Orleans last month(Carla Stickler, Chandra Lee Schwartz, Richard H. Blake). I've enjoyed the show every time that I've seen it, but my most favorite time was in New Orleans. We had some of the best seats (about 4 rows or so from the stage, in the center section). Also it was my very first time doing the stagedoor. I was so excited seeing everyone come out. My friend didn't mind staying until Carla came out. She is the Elphaba u/s for the 1st National Tour. The night I was there was her very first time performing the role during a performance. I thought she did an amazing job, especially given the circumstance (she had a very short notice that she'd be going on). She was really nice signing autographs and taking pictures. Everyone was. I also got an autograph from Richard Kline (the Wizard).
I would love to see the show again. Unfortunately, the timing is not right at the moment. I'm not able to get off from work to travel anywhere. The show will be in Orlando next Feb/March so I think that I will try to go to Walt Disney World during that time so I can see Wicked too. Maybe twice. That would be sweet!
My favorite characters are Elphaba and Glinda. I love (most) all of the songs. My favorite song changes from time to time. Currently it's "The Wizard and I". I love to sing along to the songs.
I could go on and on about Wicked, but I better keep it short. I can't wait to get to know everyone and to share my love of Wicked.
