Broadway vet Kathy Fitzgerald will join the Broadway company of Wicked on June 29 as Madame Morrible, replacing Tony winner Rondi Reed, who will give her final performance on June 27. The show continues its smash-hit run at the Gershwin Theatre, directed by Joe Mantello.

Fitzgerald has appeared on Broadway in 9 to 5, The Producers and Swinging on a Star. Off-Broadway credits include the Encores! production of Damn Yankees, Secrets Every Smart Traveler Should Know and Mating Habits. Regional credits include Nite Club Confidential, Grease, Good Company, All in the Timing, A Christmas Carol, Quilters, Twelfth Night, Shakespeare (Abridged), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe.

The Broadway company of Wicked currently includes Mandy Gonzalez as Elphaba, Katie Rose Clarke as Glinda, P.J. Benjamin as The Wizard, Andy Karl as Fiyero, Alex Brightman as Boq, Jenny Fellner as Nessarose, and Timothy Britten Parker as Dr. Dillamond.

Thanks for posting, but since it's already posted in another thread, I don't see why there needs to be a new one.

I believe you're confusing her with Kathy Deitch.

Saw Kathy Saturday Night - my first time seeing Wicked on Broadway (having seen it far too many times in the West End). She was absolutely amazing! Her Morrible was quite soft and not so evil (which I usually don't like) but she played it so well! I couldn't fault her performance (or her British accent, which is a lot given that Mary Poppins was almost uniformly torture for me! haha). AND she was SO NICE at the stage door!!
