I made my way back to the Gershwin to see Mandy and Wicked again since I haven't been there since March. I wasn't a huge fan of Mandy then and I'm still not. While this time I found her voice to be gorgeous I found her portrayal(especially Act 1) to be very angry and ghetto-like. She has changed a lot from the first time I saw her. Before she was very dorky and smiley and now she is very angry and just looking like she wants to fight with everyone. Her transformation from Act 1 to Act 2 is still the best I have seen. She is an incredible Wicked Witch of the West. Her NGD was deff the highlight for me this time as was FG. She has very good chemistry with Katie Rose.

Katie Rose is just adorable and I love her Glinda more and more with everytime I see her. She is still very spazzy in Popular and in Act 1 in general. She also,like Mandy, has the best transformation from Act 1 to Act 2 that I have seen. She is a very layered Glinda which I love. Popular is deff her strongest number. She tried to get out of the bubble at the end of NOMTW and wasn't unhooked yet.

Andy was obviously sick and had some very rough patches throughout the show.

I just adore Jenny as Nessa.

Kathy Fitzgerald is hysterical as Morrible. I absolutely loved her. She brought a new twist to the role.

For as many times that I've seen Alex as Boq I never get bored with him. He manages to change it up which is hard to do with his role.

I am very bored with PJ's Wizard though.

I saw a lot of new faces in the ensemble and some very familiar ones. It was nice to see Heather Spore back in her track. Also nice to see Tony Galde back in the show. It was also different seeing Brenda Hamilton in Lindsay Northen's track(she was standby while Laura is away). Brenda sounded great in her "rebel animals" line in TG. Stephanie Torns' does the best solo in NOMTW I have ever heard.

Edited to say that it was awesome to finally meet Isaac and hang with him.
Also that the fog machines were working overtime as were the bubbles in Glinda's bubble. I could barely see Mandy during NGD and the fog was going over my head. Glinda's bubbles were flying halfway into the orch.

Very nive review Val! I'm sad its been so long since we've seen it together but I'm glad you gave Mandy another shot even if you still don't love her!
