Okay guys I hope this is easy to read and not all jumbled up as I saw the last 5 shows in 3 days. I also got to see all 3 green girls. I will do some thoughts on the cast and the shows.

Marcie Dodd- I LOVE Marcie and have seen her on Broadway and the tour. When she ran out on stage Friday night I was grinning ear to ear just to see her looking good and happy on that stage. She looked so much better then she did when I saw her on the tour(I caught her towards the end). Her DG and NGD are still her strong songs and have always been. Her chemistry with Alli got so much more strong from when they were on Broadway together. Her voice has always been great and just keeps getting stronger and stronger.

Felicia Ricci- Very different Elphie in looks and voice. She has a deep but gorgeous voice. Reminded me of Carmen. I wish I would have seen her from the orch and not the balcony. I felt so disconnected from her sitting up there that I don't remember much about her. I did love her though and hope to see her again

Alyssa Fox- I was very excited when I found out she was going on for the last matinee. She is still very green(pun intended) but she was incredible. Has the highest voice of the 3 girls. The most inexperienced obviously as it was only her 2nd time going on and her first with Alli. They used a ton of fog during her DG that all you could see was her face and not much else. She did the "tell them how I" riff that I love(Jenny D and Nicole do it also). Her NGD was hands down the best I ever heard(and this is coming from someone who has seen the show 75 times). All in all she is easily top 5 for me and I hope she continues somewhere with the show.

Alli Mauzey- Alli is my most seen Glinda of all time. Well she never calls out...lol. Like with Marcie as soon as I saw Alli up in her bubble I was grinning ear to ear. In the 26 times Ive seen her now I NEVER saw the same performance from her. Her Popular just got more crazy in SF and resulted in all 3 Elphie's not being able to hold in their laughs. Her chemistry with Marcie was through the roof. Her chemistry was also great with Felicia and especially with Alyssa.

Deedee Magno Hall- Best voice I have heard in a Nessa. She was very different from when I saw her on the tour 2yrs ago. She was very whiny now and nowhere near a good of an actress as she was on the tour(but she is still awesome). Her WWOTE transformation is one of the best though. She is very angry in that scene.

Cliffton Hall- I have seen him on the tour also and didn't like him much there. Well my opinion of him changed a lot in SF. One of the best Fiyero's I have seen. His singing and dancing are top notch. His ALAYM with all 3 of the girls was smoking hot. He is just a gorgeous man.

Etai BenShlomo- One of the best Boq's I have seen. He is very creepy and stalkerish but very funny also in his scenes with Alli and Cliffton. Great voice.

Jody Gelb- I loved her Morrible. Very scary Wicked Witch speech. Very good singer and actress

Tom McGowan- Very refreshing to see someone other then PJ as a Wizard. Tom was very menacing as the Wizard but also very funny in the little that he has to do.

Will do thoughts on the shows a bit later.

Love reading your thoughts... I also was completely floored by Alyssa's NGD. (My review is coming eventually I swear.) Thanks for sharing! biggrin.gif

Ok now onto the shows. I think I will do this by the separate shows except for the Sat matinee as I don't remember much about it since I was in the balcony. I did love Felicia and am happy I got to see her also.
This theatre is tiny but the lighting was the best I have seen. I was in the front center row on Friday and Sun mat. Still in front row but off to the right on Sat night and Sun night(Limited view I think, the cheaper seat). Front row center was terrible in this theatre do to the stage being extremely high but I love being close and seeing all the facial expressions. Front row off to the side was even worse do to the set coming out. At points I was watching Marcie through the steps as I couldn't see her onstage.

Friday night(Sept 3)
So happy to see Marcie and Alli together again(I saw them together on Broadway at Marcie's last Jan 11,2009 so it's been awhile). I think I was a daze the whole show just from happiness and not really believing I was actually there...lol.
Where I was sitting(A 115) I could see into the wings and noticed the DG broom hanging there the whole 1st act. No big bloopers or anything out of the ordinary.
-Popular was hilarious and one of the most funny things I ever saw. Alli changes it up everytime I see her. I love the nose "boop" she does and I love that she still does the scream into the pillow after telling her secret. After she does the lalalala's she added a flash in there which I never before. Poor Marcie couldn't hold her laughter in. Marcie's 2nd toss toss got a lot of applause as it was hilarious. Marcie's toss tosses before the lion cub scene is just as crazy. Somehow she is almost bent backwards and bangs right into Cliffton, she let out a scream and started laughing.
-DG is one of her best numbers and has always been IMO. She is very growly which I love.
-NGD is deff Marcie's strongest song. She doesn't have any fancy riffs in it and quite frankly she doesn't need them.
-I was listening to Deedee talking as Marcie came out at the Ozdust Ball in DTL. You could hear her say "Why is everyone laughing at my sister" and "please stop laughing at her"

Sat night(Sept 4)
Seat C 7. Great being close up but limited view. Take what I wrote for Friday night and times it by 100. They were that much more on their game. The only thing that was different is that Marcie hit Cliffton in the eye with her hair doing the toss tosses. He jumped back about a foot and she looked terrified that she hurt him.
-I could see more into the wings and right before Elphaba comes out to receive the hat from Glinda. Marcie was back there dancing and all of a sudden flashed someone standing in the other wing. It took all I could not to laugh...LOL.
-After the artichoke is steamed line in the classroom scene Alli and Annie Funke had a whole conversation about green vegetables...lol

Sun Night-Final show(Sept 5)
Seat B 5(had to watch all of the scenes done on the left side through the steps and missed everything that happened on Elphie's bed in Popular) Great energy from the audience and from every single person on that stage. Marcie was a bit nasally but I kind of expected it(she was crying as they all were). Everyone put extra into their performance. The end of INTG broke my heart when Marcie put her hand over her face and started crying. During FG Marcie held it together pretty well but Alli did not. They were both crying by the time they had their hug at the end.

Sun afternoon-Final matinee(Sept 5)
Seat A 115 again.
So excited to see Alyssa and boy she did NOT disappoint. Like I said before she was very green as she has only been on once before. She was very nervous and very emotional. She is very tiny also(they all are short but Alyssa is super skinny as Marcie and Felicia are fuller(not fat)). She is a stunning Elphaba. Her low notes need work but her high notes are gorgeous. Both her and Felicia did the high girl at the end of INTG. They used a ton of fog for Alyssa in DG. So much that the whole place was filled and you couldn't see her. She didn't cover the lift at all and it took her awhile to get in it. Her NGD was the best I have ever seen. I sat there with my jaw on the floor. She is downright scary. She did a Dee-like 2nd Fiyero that gave me chills. I really hope she ends up somewhere as she has the potential to be one of the top Elphie's. Alli was very good with her in taking control and leading her. She held her hand throughout the show.
-When Alyssa put the hat on her head she pulled it down a lil too far and knocked her glasses halfway down her face.

I loved the way Deedee worked with all 3 of the girls. In WWotE she let them comfort her after Boq says about going to the ball for Glinda which is my favorite thing for Nessa to do. Most just push them away but Deedee doesn't.

I'm sure I missed a ton of stuff and sorry for it being all jumbled up.
All in all I fell in love with this cast and they were certainly the best whole cast I have seen. It was a perfect ending for Marcie to say goodbye to the green girl.

Any questions feel free to ask.

It was the same at the Pantages but they were the lottery seats. At the Orpheum people who sat there paid full price and I think that's a travesty. When I heard early on that the lottery seats were partial view and off to the side I had no desire to ever do the lottery there. I'm presuming you paid full price for all your shows?

My favorite Popular moment by Alli too; no one does it like she does!

I paid full price for Friday night and Sunday matinee. The others were the cheaper limited view seats the were next to the lotto seats.
