Yeah, NOMTW to DOS is really really fast. If you watch the video, and actually count the time from when she leaves the stage until she reappears you'll see that's not long at all.

Haha...at the tour in Dallas, some kind of costume problem happened backstage and Steph didn't quite make it back on to OSD on her cue. So Kendra came out and sang her lines: ................"dress salons"..........................."palaces!" Then Steph came out.
I really don't know how they do it. That change is SO FAST. 15 seconds, I timed it.

At my dance studio... we have so many quick changes in our show. All of the girls in Company Jazz... we are in basically every scene in the show and we are constantly changing costumes so we have to keep a big laundry basket backstage full of our costumes and we all have someone assigned to help us backstage, it's so intense. The hardest is when you have to change your hair! Props to all the Glinda's and Elphie's for that OSD change... that's incredible! And the NOMTW to DOS one is crazy too!!

My school is doing "PIPPIN" right now, and we have the ensamble in all black w/ just one colored shash. Some of the leads have to changed from one to the other. Like me, I play Lewis (Pippin's step brother). I have to change from my all black to my prince costume. So my secrete is, I just put my prince pants over my black pants and switch shirts. My mic is always a problem though. :?

When I was in CHICAGO, all the guys had very little time to go from our complete reporter suits for "We Both Reached for the Gun" to tuxes to make it in time for "Roxie". That was the quickest I've ever had to change in my life! :ha:

She is in(was in for a thousand years) NOMTW...and then she complains about having a minute to change while Kristin, JLT, and the rest had only 8 seconds....

thats so stupid the glindas didn't complain
I think the Glinda's loved it- they could make tons of jokes about it.

There's a few....after no one mourns the Wicked into Dear Old Shiz. But I think the fastest one is when she changes into the yellow dress for One Short Day.

It doesn't sound like she was complaining, it sounds like she was telling them she had a 30-40 second costume change.

We just did Neil LaBute's "Shape of Things" and the guy playing Adam is in every scene and has to not only change costumes, but has a few fat suit changes as well as his character slims down. It was insane backstage. And when I did Anything Goes for an AIDS benefit, and was Reno, I had i think 6-7 seconds to change EVERYTHING and did. Those are the best kind of changes, there's something, satisfying knowing you just kicked butt at changing your clothes.

I love fast costume changes. I hate it when something goes wrong. I remember a change I did that I was on one side and had to run around to the other side to make my entrance. Then, during the scene, my male counterpart picks me up, swings me around, and kisses me. Well, needless to say we didn't get the strings tight enough on my petticoat and underdress and it came flyin' out. It fell out all the way when we sat on the bench and we just casually kicked it under the bench and continued lines. Luckily, it was just a dress rehearsal but I did get a lot of comments about it from the audience we had...
