I have only seen WIcked twice.. both times in Boston, but was lucky enough to get to see two GLinda's..

1) Lauren Ashley Zakrin- although this might have something to do with the fact that i got to observe her acting much claser than i was able to with Chandra.. Front and center orchestra (literally front and center) VS left Mezzanine.. front will win out any day. i could see her expressions much more clearly. she was awesome. She was funny but not too over the top.. and she says ballgown very much like Megan Hilty.. though not as loud and over the top. she had very good balance with being funny, but not over the top.

2) Chandra Lee Schwartz- some parts of her popular were a little over the top, but she was still awesome. her vocals seemed stronger to me than Lauren's, though.

My order has changed after seeing it again on Monday:

1. Sarah Earnshaw - this girl has gone from being my least favourite Glinda to my favourite, I was completely blown away by her this time round. I first saw her in May 2009 and was not impressed at all, however I now understand why everyone loves her so much. She has improved so much, and her chemistry with Nikki was fantastic.
2. Louise Dearman - Louise is my favourite Glinda vocally, I think her voice is just stunning. I do love her, but Sarah has just nudged in front of her as my overall favourite.

3. Dianne Pilkington - I really liked Dianne, but I think she was a bit too hyper as Glinda. She wasn't too bad vocally, but she wasn't my favourite. I did still like her though.
4. Helen Dallimore - I can't really remember much about Helen as Glinda as I saw her back in 2006, but I do remember really liking her after expecting not to. She's not last because I didn't like her, just someone had to come last.

1. Natalie Daradich...Just amazing!! So hilarious I can't take it. Her voice is amazing, her acting is incredible. Natalie as Glinda is perfection!
2. Katie Rose Clarke...at first I had her a little lower down, but I had only see her once at that point. I have seen her five times now and, I actually think she's tied for first. She plays off the audiences reaction, so depending on when you see the show her performance is different. But she is hysterical, and has the most adorable mannerisms.
3. Alli Mauzey...I love her! Her Popular is one of my favorites!
4. Michelle London...she is a pretty great Glinda, too. Very funny. She does this split thing in Popular and I laughed for days.
5. Erin Mackey...probably the cutest Glinda I have seen! Great voice.
6. Annaleigh Ashford...she is funny too. I don't remember her performance being overly amazing, but I liked her. I do think she has the best transition from Act I to Act II.
7. Rachel Potter...basically a clone of Natalie Daradich. So of course I like her, but I wish she would have made it her own a little.
8. Lindsay Northen...ahhh!! I waited over three years to see her as Glinda! She was soooo good! Obviously, since she never goes on, she has a lot of little things to work on. Her voice is great. She is definitely the most sarcastic Glinda I have ever seen. I actually saw her go on with Jenny, so that was really cool.
9. Kendra Kassebaum...My first Glinda. Definitely had the most energy, haha. Popular was INSANE!!
10. Laura Woyasz...she was alright. Nothing spectacular about her performace and IMO she looks to old to be playing Glinda. But she does have a great voice.
11. Helene Yorke...okay, she is HILARIOUS, but I think she is TOO hilarious. And she tries to hard to make humor a big part of it...if that makes sense? And I thought her Glinda was kind of b****y. She's talented though.

1. Jennifer Laura Thompson- The best I've seen. She's so far and above anyone else I've seen in her portrayal of the role.
2. Kendra Kassebaum- Her voice may not be so pleasant to listen to sometimes, but she is very charismatic and I very much loved her.
3. Annaleigh Ashford- I find her voice lovely and despite her flat acting I find her endlessly charming and watchable.
4. Marissa Lupp- A bit better than Annaleigh in the character growth department but when she went OTT it was just too much so I found her slightly less enjoyable.
5. Natalie Daradich- I'm having trouble placing her. Like Marissa she had high highs and low lows for me. I'd say she's very close to Marissa in my rankings but I think I'd rather see Marissa again than Natalie.
6. Melissa Bohon- Nice voice and very good growth overall, just not a performance I would rave about though. She didn't really grab me in any way like the top 4 did.

Having seen a few more Glindas [Lucy Newton, Katie Rose Clarke, Chandra Lee Schwartz], I thought I'd update:

SINGING

1. Katie Rose Clarke - beautiful and warbly, so warm. Love, love, loved her voice!
2. Louise Dearman - Stunning, I cannot fault her vocals at all!
3. Chandra Lee Schwartz - Beautiful voice, but not quite as good as the 2 above.
4. Laura Woyasz - also stunning, and almost faultless but there were one or 2 weaker notes but seriously WOW!!
5. Lucy Newton - no fault, hit all the notes perfectly.
6. Chloe Taylor - beautiful, but maybe slightly unsure of herselg at times?
7. Dianne Pilkington - occasionally strained and very warbly but I still liked her.
8. Helen Dallimore - nice, from what I remember although I distinctly remember feeling that she was significantly weaker than Kerry (whereas I felt Dianne faired more favourably).
9. Sarah Earnshaw - somebody has to come last. I don't think she's a true soprano and it shows although she has a lovely voice.


ACTING:

1. Katie Rose Clarke - Exceptional. Perfect Hilarious. Emotional. Every single second was stunning. I love her, I actually LOVE her!!
2. Dianne Pilkingtion - I love her Glinda. I want to marry her Glinda, whilst at the same time have her as my mum, my sister and my best friend. LOVE!!
3. Chandra Lee Schwartz - So funny, very ditzy. I liked her a lot.
4. Laura Woyasz - so regal, loving, knowing and funny! I was gushing with praise, truely spectacular.
5. Sarah Earnshaw - Again, really funny, lovely acting - you would not at all be dissapointed!
6. CHloe Taylor - given that she only performed once I was seriously impressed. Her act 2 moreso - it was one of the most emotional performances.
7. Louise Dearman - It's difficult to warm to her, although she's very funny and her acting is great.
8. Lucy Newton - A very accomplished understudy, but there wasn't much warmth there.
9. Helen Dallimore - Not my cup of tea, although not bad at all - I still enjoyed the performance (as it was the 1st time I'd seen it).

1. Katie Rose Clarke - Katie is, hands down, my favorite Glinda. Her voice is beautiful and her portrayal so deeply and intricately layered... and I saw her at the beginning of her run with the 1NT! Unfortunately, I can only imagine how she was on Broadway.
2. Natalie Daradich - I wasn't sure how I felt about Natalie's Glinda when I first saw her, but by the second or third performance I was hooked! She's a gem--she's got a great voice and adds some very nice, original touches to the character; however, I often wonder where she would rank on my list if I had only seen her once.
3. Annaleigh Ashford - I think I'm in the minority ranking Annaleigh so high up on my overall list, but I thoroughly enjoyed her Glinda. Her soprano isn't very strong, she's more of a belter in my opinion, but I found her portrayal to be both equally funny and sincere--it was blatantly obvious that she was immersed in the role. Her transformation from Act I Glinda to Act II Glinda wasn't life-changing, but I feel that it worked very well paired with Lisa Brescia's Elphaba.
4. Lesley McKinnell - I saw Lesley twice on a two-show day, she was my first Glinda understudy, and she blew my expectations out of the water. She has a PHENOMENAL voice, second (in my opinion) only to Alli Mauzey. I really appreciated the humor she brought to the character--it wasn't over-the-top by any means; it was subtle and dry which reminded me a lot of Kristin Chenoweth. Her portrayal, overall, was very layered and reminded me a lot of Katie Rose Clarke in that regard. She's also very tall, so it was mildly distracting to see her opposite Vicki who is such a petite Elphaba!
5. Megan Campanile - Megan is my most recently seen Glinda and, for only performing the role 12 - 13 times (per Megan herself), she was pretty darn great; she looks the part especially! Her singing voice was good, it reminded me a bit of Natalie Daradich, but sweeter; however I felt like she struggeled to hit some of the notes throughout the show (the final note in 'Thank Goodness' was gold, though). There were a few small, subtle acting choices she made that I truly loved which, I felt, really set her apart from being just another Glinda understudy that gets the job done. Her portrayal needs a bit of fine-tuning, but she really has the potential to be spectacular. Hopefully one day we'll see Megan step onto the Wicked stage as lead Glinda!
6. Erin Mackey - Erin was my very first Glinda back in July 2007, so her performance isn't the freshest in my mind, but I remember being really taken by her. Her soprano could be shrill at times, but was overall very pretty. There was a great transformation from Act I to Act II and I really think she understood the character. I just wish I could have seen her again to better analyze her performance.
7. Chandra Lee Schwartz - Chandra has a beautiful voice and a relatively good portrayal of Glinda by my standards. I enjoyed her immensely the first time I saw her, but the second and third times I saw her, her antics were EXACTLY the same as the first. Now, I'm not knocking her consistency, but compared to Jackie Burns, who was giving her performance 110%, I just felt that Chandra was "going through the motions." I hate ranking her so low because I really did like her. Who knows? Maybe she'll change my mind when I see her in March!
8. Alli Mauzey - I hate ranking Alli last! She has, by far, the most gorgeous voice of any Glinda that I've seen, but her acting just didn't do it for me; she's a great comedienne, but I think she failed to make Glinda anything more than the comic relief.
