Lea Salonga recently performed at Carnegie Hall. She loves Wicked, and did Popular and Defying Gravity. You can see a short clip of the end of Defying Gravity at www.broadwaybeat.com the Novemeber 21st show. She's four months pregnant, so considering how much that area is needed for belting, shes pretty amazing. I would really love to see her as Elphaba eventually, perhaps when Eden is done?

That was weird. She was doing good at "nobody is all of" "Ahhhhhzzzz" is all LOW! and crazy weird.

Other than that, it was okay. Not any match for Sho or Idina.

where is it on the website? I don't know where to look... but I have heard a clip with her and someone else singing For Good and it sounded really good but I don't know if she can really be that powerful, so I really don't know. She might make a good Elphaba..... :?

Yeah, her voice isn't powerful enough

I think she may not sound that powerful because she is pregnant and can't overexert herself, but she is recognized by almost all Broadway goers for having an very powerful belting voice, as well as superior range.

In the interview with her she said she doesn't think that her being pregnant is affecting her voice, but I thought she was pretty good.
