I sat in A11 at Eden's last and, although it was farther to the side than I normally sit, it was absolutely fine. A13 is one seat over so you should be okay!

It depends on how much i want to (or can) spend! If i want really good seats and have some extra money to spend, i'll go to a ticket broker. They're pretty expensive, but they usually have great seats available! They don't advertise the seat numbers on their website, but the one i deal with has an IM system available on their site, and if you ask the customer service representative via the IM, they'll tell you the seat numbers available at that time. And if you're familiar with the theatre, that always helps so you know which are good seats and which aren't. I just bought tickets for a night in February and i got 2nd row center via the broker.
Again, a bit pricey but worth it if you have the extra $$ to spend

(yea for tax refund time! lol)

Sometimes it feels like we've had soooo many green girls, and I can't believe there's only been six on Broadway.
Sometimes it feels like it was just yesterday the OBC was still being their amazing selves in the Gersh, and I can't believe there's already been six.

Really random question.
I'm going to be in the city next week, and I really want to get the Popular snowglobe while I'm there to avoid having to pay shipping. I know that you can go to the merchandise booth at the Gershwin that's just inside the theater without a ticket. So if I can't find it in any of the Broadway merchandise stores, I want to go to the theater to buy it. Does anyone have any idea how early they open the doors and start selling merchandise? I'll be there Wednesday seeing Young Frankenstein at 2pm. So I don't know if the timing will work out, but just wondering if anyone knows!

I have a question about getting day-of tickets besides lottery. I've read about people getting limited view seats after losing lottery. How does that work? Is there a separate line for that, or something else - or, when they say that, are they talking about the cancellation line? I'm so sorry, but I wanted to ask my mother if she would consider doing the lottery for Wicked with me next week (Spring Break!), and if not, we could still get tickets. I'm just really confused about the whole cancellation line/buying tickets day-of if you lose lottery situation. The weird thing is - I used to know about this, but my brain is just SO OLD. I forgot.

Sorry for bothering anyone and sounding stupid and thank you to anyone who answers! Oh, and I'm sorry for the fact this most likely has been asked before.

^What row? If they are row BB, then you will miss something on the side you are sitting on, such as Elphie's dance and things, but it's nothing MAJOR. I've sat in row J, and have tickets for row G in 2 weeks. The partial view seats (and price!) are great, especially if you have seen the show before.

I'm sure that they don't like people taking photos of the curtain call...I was taking pics before the show with my camera facing away from the curtain and they told me to put it away. I think the stage is copyrighted like it is for RENT and a lot of other shows. An usher explained it to me once.

Sorry for posting this if it's already been asked but...
I'm looking at the seating chart and don't understand the double letters in the mezzanine.
The mezz is a balcony right? So how can there be these handful of seats on either side and extend out closer than row A?
Also row CC seats 5 and 7, would those be good tickets?
Also, am I more likely to see a standby or understudy if I go to a matinee? I can get better tickets for the day show but want to see the principle players.

Unless they're sick, injured or a have a pre-arranged vacations, princple players go on for every performance. Unless it's a vacation there's really no way to predict whether or not a person will be in the show on a specific day. They try their best to do every performance but there are days when its just better for everyone if they don't try to struggle through singing such a demanding show. The understudies and standbys are great at what they do, so I doubt you'll be disappointed with the show, no matter who you see.
Edit: As for my question: If I'm picking my tickets up at the box office ("will call"), will I be ok with just having the order number and seat info written down? I have my license and credit card but my printer doesn't work so I can't print the actual order confirmation. From what I've read on ticketmaster and such it seems like it'd be ok but I just want to make sure before I get there.

I don't know if this has been asked before, and I'm sorry if it has. But, I'm planning a trip to NYC, so I'd really love the answer to this question.
Are there certain days/performances when SJB does not come out the Stage Door? I'd really love to meet her, so I want to get tickets for a performance when I know I'll be able to do that after the show.
Any help that anyone could give me with this would be greatly appreciated!

I'll be in New York City for a few days in mid-May, and was wondering what the lotto situation tends to look like during that time of year. What would be my best day to try (AKA which show has the lowest lotto turnout, on average)? My guess would be the Wednesday matinee, as it's a work/school day, but I might be wrong...
bterrywps
Apr 5 2008, 05:04 AM
actually...and I can only speak from personal experience...I find that tuesday and wednesday EVENINGS are the least in-demand for shows. If you think about it, there are only two matinee shows all week, Weds and Sat. So if you're trying to go to NYC just for the day (which many people from within 3-4 hours or so do) you'd have to get tickets for Wed and Sat matinee. For evening performances, people most likely aren't going to take a day trip and then leave NYC at 11-11:30 and have to go to work the next day. So early week evenings I have found are a bit more easy to get tickets for.

I don't think there is - sorry!
Alrighty then, I previously asked a question about curtain call pictures. I really want to take pictures at curtain call on Tuesday. I'm debating whether or not to do it, because I don't want to be embarrassed as a result of being asked to put the camera away and I want to have some memories from the show - I figured the way to do it would be through the pictures at curtain call.
Should I do it, or not? I'd be bringing my camera for SD either way. Thanks to whoever answers!

That is because if there is an evening show the only reason to come out of the SD would be to sign autographs/take pictures/meet people. They could just chillax at the the theatre, it's not like they are just going home, like after an evening or mat. on Sundays. They have to leave the theatre
somehow and usually come out of the SD.
