During the Boston run, I was canning on a Monday for a school trip, and I kept hoping that one of the cast members would randomly walk by and give me money.

And I wasn't even in Boston.

It got locked. There was a fight in another thread and it kind of got brought into the GGA and I'm not really sure. I'm confusified. They said it may not be permanent though, so I hope not.

Still working on my Julia Murney portrait, by the way. It's almost done... but it just doesn't feel done yet. Debating on posting it to see what you guys think anyway.

I'm not so great at drawing. I can do cartoons, and if I have enough time and patience, I can do portraits. The little kids at the place I worked over the school year always made me draw them. xD I got plenty of practice.

But yeah... my Murney portrait is just really light at the moment. I think that's why I don't feel it's done yet. It doesn't have the shadow-y depths yet but I'm scared to touch it with charcoal since it's probably one of my better realistic portraits. Buuuuuut sometime this week I hope I'll get the courage. It's been laying on my desk since the end of April... :ha:

Okay, this is random, but I thought it might be fun to hear what you guys think. I'm not sure if you guys are framiliar with her, but theres this singer (whos also been on broadway) named Linda Eder and she made this CD called "Broadway My Way" and she sang all of these broadway songs that she loves but will probably never be in the actual play. So I was wondering, if you could chose any song from any show what would you like to hear Julia sing?

And, on the topic of songs I'd love to hear Julia sing: 'Meadowlark' from The Baker's Wife. I have an almost unhealthy obsession with that song.

And. I'd love to see her in a production of Songs for a New World. Either female role, though (I can never remember who's 1 and who's 2) the woman who sings 'Just One Step' and 'Stars and the Moon'? I can totally see her in that part.

she sang meadowlark at a Stephen Shwartz audition for Snapshots....it was the first time her and Andrew Lippa ever met one another... he knew the thousand pages of music by heart to play on the piano....and she sang it effortlessly and AMAZINGLY according to Lippa and Shwartz....

she did an event in texas in november i think it was? with jrb and she sang some last 5 years stuff and i remember someone telling me she sang 'stars and the moon'. that is probably one of my favorite songs (that and a special meaning behind it for me) so i would loooove to actually hear julia sing that song.

I'd actually give my arm and foot to hear Julia sing opera. Someone -- I forget who, but I think it was actually someone in one of the Wicked companies -- said something about Julia being an opera-trained singer. 'Dunno for sure (I'm sure somewhere here could answer that for me ), but either way I'd love to hear her belting out some Italian opera like my recent opera obsession, Sarah Brightman's "Time to Say Goodbye".
