Ok. I heard that Shoshana has a new or a *newER* Defying Gravity ending. They said that it's higher than it used to be. She's all of the sudden making this awsome changes and i'm stuck in Indiana not hearing them!! WHY GOD WHY!!!

The higher part comes when she does the AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH....I have heard Eden do this too...it's really hard to do, but if you look at the music it is actually written higher on this part!

This is just the one I assumed you were talking about. Its the "newest" one that I have. I have yet to come across anything newer and I do searches quite frequently. If there is something newer than this please post it. I would love to hear it.

Her "It's me" is so nasal I can feel it in my nose... other than that I have to say I enjoyed the riffing, and I'm usually not one to say that about Shoshana.

EDIT: OK, just listened to it again. It's BRILLIANT. I can see why people love her so much. And I love the different orchestration, especially the FRENCH HORN--it's so freakin' awesome! I wish it was like this on the OBCR, because it's so far down in the mix I can't hear a thing!

"riffing" is when she moves her voice really fast and does all those cool runs. like vocal gymnastics, lol.

no problem, anytime. with proper training you can do it like her. people that are untrained can try, but it usually sounds horrible (like myself, lol).

At first I loved her riffs, but her acting has always bothered me. Also, she doesn't have a lot of color in her voice. I heard Saycon do it almost exactly as it is written, and it worked much better. Every Elphaba does it higher than written in parts (especially "Look to the western sky"), but Sho doesn't do it any higher than any of them. I can't wait to see what Eden, Ana, and Stephanie do. If you ever hear Saycon is playing, though, SEE IT!!!! Acting almost as good as Idina, and her singing is unparalleled.

I think Sho has an amazing voice. But sometimes the way she shapes her vowels is too wide. Her 'e's' irk me to no end! It may just be me because I have had vowel shapes beaten into me by my music teacher.

i didn't like Sho very much before i saw her live. My cousin pounded in me that Idina is the best and Sho is just ok. When i saw her live i was amazed. I love Sho now! I love her riffs too!

i love her voice but some versions its kinda to much of a good thing, sometimes i don't like all that riffing

I agree...It's nice to just hit a note flawlessly and let it speak for itself. I think Stephanie does that a lot.
