Heya All,

I am going to be seeing the show in September sometime (between September 21 and September 28). I'm from Australia and have/am organising a holiday to the USA (I'm thinking of seeing Wicked in Los Angeles as well, seeing as I will be there between September 1 - September 4, but that's another thread of course).

I could just wait until July and see Wicked in Melbourne when it eventually opens here (side note: announce the cast already puhlease!!!!) but I first fell in love with Wicked back in 2003 when Idina was on Broadway so I want my first time to be on Broadway (even though Idina is long gone now)...does that sound crazy?? God knows how I am going to resist seeing Wicked when it starts playing in Australia but I will just have to deal with it when the time comes and fight the urge...

I'm disappointed that Stephanie won't be playing Elphie in September but I have confidence that whoever I see will blow my mind anyway - I'm going to have to pinch myself the day I am standing in front of the Gershwin and see a great big Wicked sign staring right back at me...

Will let you know what seats I get when I buy them sometime over the next few days!!!!! YAY!!!!

UPDATE: Okay, I just bought 2 tickets!!!!!! I am giddy with excitement. I got ORCH M 103-104 on a Thursday night in September 08... let my countdown begin!!!

Congrats! I'm sure you'll get to see someone wonderful! (And, y'know, it's too bad you can't arrange to do LA at the end of your trip instead of the beginning; you could see Steph in 9 to 5 instead. )

It's funny you mention '9 to 5'. I just sent an email to the Ahmanson Theatre before I read your post.

I'm going to be in Los Angeles from Sept 1-5 and, seeing as '9 to 5' premieres on Sept 3, I am going to do my best to get in early and purchase tickets for the show in March 2008 (at this stage, it probably means I will need to buy a full 2008-2009 season pass at the Ahmanson or something, which I don't really want to do seeing as it wouldn't be of much use to me after Sept 5, just so I get a chance to buy tickets in March 2008 instead of June 2008). I don't like my chances of getting tickets for one of the first two shows by waiting for the general public release tickets in June 2008....so, I'm waiting to hear back from the Ahmanson to see what they suggest I do.

I won't give up hope just yet...soon? Maybe, but not just yet. *smiles*

Thanks so much--it apparently worked, as the only regular cast member out was Steven Skybell (Dillamond). Steph was (predictably) fantastic, and I loved Annaleigh, as well. Miriam--words fail, especially as she never sang a note. To borrow a term, "HA-LARIOUS."

Glad you enjoyed it! Only 2 days to go! I so hope that Steph and Annaleigh are there! Cross your fingers for me too?

A week from today!!!

YourFiyero, we expect a report! I think they'll both be in; they've missed some SDs recently but have made every performance.

(Honestly, though, I find it amazing when people are able to do eight shows a week in the weather they've been having! :clap: :heart:)

My family and I talked. We hought it would be better to go to New York in early June rather than March. So, hopefully Stephanie will extend her contract till mid June and I will be able to see both her and Kendra again.

I saw the show last night. Only Miriam was out. I will post a review when I get home. It was incredible. Got stage door pics. Steph is seriously the nicest person ever. The best I have seen Wicked everrrr Seeing Legally Blonde tommorow.

Aww, you missed Miriam? Sadness! She was AMAZING last week--just hilarious. So glad you got to see Steph and Annaleigh, though!

I've never seen the broadway production, and i just bought a ticket for March 26th matinee ...anyone know who will most likely be on that day? im a wicked chicago lover, so broadway is new for me!

Cool I will be near the front for both shows and I'm really excited. I never have seen anyone's last or first performance before. Well I am going to Annaleigh's last. The only last thing I ever seen was the last show of Les Mis revival.

I might be seeing the show this weekend or this week, depending if I win lotto, but my mom said if not, we can try cancellation line. Wish me luck with that!

It was a great show. The energy in the crowd was AMAZING. Surprisingly I didn't cry at all until I saw Megan McGinnis practically losing it during the finale. Good luck on the lottery or cancellation line.

June 18th. I am so excited to get to see Kerry. I saw it on tour in nose bleed seats and now I am seeing it in ORCHESTRA! So excited.

The girl who I was supposed to go to the RENT final matinee with sold the tickets so we bought WICKED tickets instead for June 1!
