I have trouble staying logged in, what’s the problem?
Unfortunately there is a bug in the forum that logs certain users out regardless of whether or not they have checked “Remember Me” when logging in. There is presently no remedy for this, although sometimes logging in by clicking on the “Log in to check your private messages” link can solve the issue. Thank you for your patience in this matter!
What are the forum ranks, and what post number do they change on?
The forum ranks and their numbers are as follows:

How do I get a custom rank?
It used to be that they were for sale in the Greenbacks Auctions forums, however that is no longer the case -- for the moment, you can’t get one. Sorry!
What are Greenbacks?
Greenbacks are the virtual currency of WitchesOfOz! You can earn them by posting [the amount depends on whether you start a new post or reply to an existing one, and it also goes by how long your post is]. It is usually in the region of 1-2 GBs per post, and users may also donate their Greenbacks to one another. The amount of Greenbacks you presently have is displayed under your post count on every single post you make.
What about the auctions forum?
The auctions forum is where people who make avatars, banners and other graphics will ‘sell’ their creations! Sometimes a user will set up a store and accept donations, whereas at other times there may be an auction with bidding. In this instance the seller makes the rules, so check each individual post for information!

How can I be a moderator?
There is no strict process for how to become a moderator; when Adam is looking for new staff members he will come to current staff members for recommendations. We look at your posts on the boards first and foremost, your attitude and how you speak to other members - then there is a vote, and Adam approves the final list. If you’d like to be a mod, it’s best not to ask, and be on your best behaviour at all times!
Why was my post edited, deleted or moved?
If your post was edited, it may mean there was inappropriate content in it for the boards – most of the time, the moderator who did the editing will leave a message in the body of the post explaining why it was edited. Mods sometimes ‘sign’ their edits with emoticons, for example:

Your post will be moved if it appears in the wrong section, and the only time a post will ever be deleted is if it is spam. It may move to an undisclosed location or become locked or edited, but your post count should never decrease if you have not posted spam. If you have a question about why your post was moved or edited, please PM a moderator, do not start a new topic!
How can I add a picture to my signature?

1. Choose the picture you want!
2. Sign up for www.photobucket.com, it’s free!
3. Upload the image to your Photobucket account.
4. If it's too big, click Edit and resize it so it's 75, 50, or 25% smaller.
5. When back on the main page, click on the last line (3rd one down) that says tags.
It should look like this:

7. Open your profile on this site.
8. Paste the link into Signature…

What are the chatroom commands?
--Note-- Known chat issue: It would appear that some commands do not work for Mac users using Safari. We apologise for the inconvenience!
For a list of 'IRC' commands, type "/helpall" into the chatroom [no quotations!]. Here are a few of the most common:

/me - how to do an 'action' in chat. Type: /me says hi! Result: "[username] says hi!"
/showignores - shows you a list of anyone you're ignoring in chat, and anyone ignoring you.
/ignore "user" - Ignore a user. If you do this to a moderator, you will be banned!
/unignore "user" "message" - take someone off your ignore list and send a message.
/whowas "user" - profile pop-up for a user.
/clear - clears the chat screen. This only affects your screen, not everyone's.

Note that chat etiquette is expected to be the same as on the boards! Users can be banned from the chatroom indefinitely for misbehaviour! Action may be taken on the forums as well, so please make decorum and respect a priority on WitchesOfOz.
