Awww I kinda like it. I'm a sucker for anything red, I love the detailing on the dress, and her hair's not that bad either. It's just SO different from what we're used to, though!

I guess it makes her look older. Act 2 is several years later from act 1.

That's the first impression that I got when I saw the picture. She is older now and a government official. Looks like they were going for more of an official look.

I think the simple black that she wears now makes her look more professional/important like a government official should.

I think the current dress could use a little more detail, but that's too much. It looks like something Madame Morrible would wear!

I agree. That read cloak? makes it look like she's headest to the nearest cocktail party. Or Christmas party as it is the season.

I've seen that pic before... and i hate it!! Have yall seen the San Fransisco Popular dress? its blue instead of pink. I like it better pink cuz it gives us a different color than the NOMTW dress.

Yikes, that costume looks a little too floozy for Nessa. I like the current outfit, it is very befitting the character and the "wicked witch" persona.

I agree that it DOES look like something that Morrible would wear. It kinda looks like the green Emerald City coat that she wears for "Thank Goodness". Hmm. Strange. :whoa:

That was the point of it looking like that. They wanted to have something that the people who read the book would have a good laugh at. They were trying to make her like Morrible because in the book Morrible wants Nessarose, Elphaba, and Glinda to become adept at magic and help rule Oz.

the fuffy stuff looks like what madame morrible wears during thank goodness. i don't really like it that much. and her eye brows looks a bit too long to be real, lol.

i know you will al probly yell @ me but i rly like the blue popular dress over the pink!

her original act 2 dress was okay. a little unsettling, but she is an official. i think the new dress is fine, but could do with some detail.

that's just a rehearsal skirt. Some actresses are required to wear it during rehearsal. Even at my school

During B&TB at QCT, Belle had to wear a rehearsal skirt almost every day. I felt really bad for her. She couldn't sit down. I love all the costumes the way they are now. Glinda wouldn't be Glinda unless she wore something pink! Nessa's act 2 dress is way better now. It looked too much like Morrible before.

i think the dress is hideous, but i like the idea of her looking more like Mdme. Morrible beacuse in Act 2 Nessa is no longer the cute little sister, she is very different. I also kinda like the blue popular dress but have a question, Why is Glinda's NOMTW dress blue instead of Pink, like it would be at that time in the movie?

the only thing about the old dress for nessa was that it made her look mean. More like a *itch or Witch (of the east) lol so yea. But the black ones cool and it works.

Glindas studd is perfect the way they are i like them.

and most of the time they wear rehersal skirts for other ppl so they know where the dress is going to be so they don't step on it or something

The pic of Kristin is a screencap from the PBS Broadway DVD. I kinda liked the original look for Nessa. She had more color but the red would have clashed with the red light shined her when her silver shoes work magic so I guess the black is better, just plain and I guess more appropriate then it would appear she is mourning the death of her father. I'm speculating. I sure liked her hair a lot better though. I love long wavy hair. I do think for the second act her appearance should have been more dramatic but whatever.

Susan Hilferty...........can't say enough praise for her. She more than deserved that Tony. Glinda's costume was blue instead of pink like in the MGM film because they wanted to distance themselves from the Oz film. And I'm not sure but I think Kristin may have had some say over the coloring of her costumes or something. I thought I heard that somewhere, but I'm not sure. Either way Susan Hilferty is a GENIUS.

Yeah she is.....I like the original Nessa costume because it gives her color and features. The new one is too plain for my taste but it was an artistic choice. The Glinda dress is perfect. I like it blue and not pink....its prettier!!
